I love old objects, which show the lived life and tell stories from the past. I enjoy going to markets and finding beautiful old pieces, which show that they have been loved and cared for a long time before ending up to the market. The emotional value of products is a fascinating area for me to explore. I am against throwawayism and find longevity and emotional value on products important. I also believe that the function of the product should never be compromised because of the aesthetics. They should live in harmony in products.
As I cherish the story of the product and wish that could help the user to create a relationship with the object, this is also a theme that I have tried to keep in mind when designing. I want to design intriguing products, which carry a story within them.
I graduated from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in summer 2008 in Product and Furniture Design. I lived in England for four years, now I am living and working in Helsinki.
